LO3 Organising my Photos

This screenshot taken here shows the folders that I have created for LO3. Photos will be placed in their corresponding folders. This is important as it helps keep my photographs organised. It also allows quick access for editing images later on.

To help me organise my photographs even more, i can use Adobe Bridge. A tool which helps identify image properties as well as camera settings. It also allows you to see a clear preview of the image and will also select the most appropriate above program to edit said file in. For me this would be photoshop.

The preview panel displays a preview of the image as well as the file name and extension.

The metadata panel and properties help me identify the camera settings used and the properties of the file should i need to use them later on.

Photograph Analysis:

PHOTO 1: Nature Shot

WWW: The vibrant colours stand out without any editing at all. The plant also 'leaks' over to the other side of the image. The plain colours complement each other correctly.

EBI: The sky would have been clear so the reflection in the windows would have created the impression of nature.

TECHNIQUES USED: Rules of thirds, contrast

PHOTO 2: Chair Shot

WWW: The low angle shot gives the impression of anyone who would sit on this chair would have power. The cardboard underneath shows the different standards of wealth in the city, where some have nothing but some have everything. This emotion uses the levels of the photo to further exaggerate it.

EBI: More saturation would have been applied to the image and possibly some blur.

TECHNIQUES USED: Emotion, low angle shot, centre of interest.

PHOTO 3: Behind Bars

WWW: The bars suggest that the city is beyond reach to all, but can also provide that you are looking into the city which has been locked away. This opposite really opens the imagination to the viewer, which is why i think it is such a good shot.

EBI: This photo could have been made better if the camera would have been closer to the bars.
